Duration: Valid for a short stay (typically up to 72 hours) to facilitate transit. Fee: $34.09 (same as the standard eTA). Who Can Apply: Travelers who need to leave the transit area (e.g., for a layover requiring hotel accommodation or short city visits). Use Cases:
- Layovers in Nairobi or Mombasa requiring entry into Kenya.
- Short stopovers for tourism or business during transit.

- Onward flight ticket showing departure within 72 hours.
- Passport and photo (same as standard eTA).
- Proof of accommodation if staying overnight.
- Note: Passengers transiting without leaving the airport/seaport/land border precincts are exempt from applying for an eTA.
